There is a theory that you can tell how your company's business is doing by looking at how your company's vendors/suppliers are doing. Helix Technology {HELX} derives in excess of 50% of its business from its customer AMAT. On 12/14/98 HELX closed at 10 3/8. Today, as I write this, HELX is at 20 1/4, effectively doubling its share price in one month. Hard to say if this means AMAT has cranked up its orders to HELX in response to increased AMAT business but the HELX increase seems to indicate this. Anybody follow any other AMAT vendors and if so do their results mirror HELX? Jeff

P.S. Truth in Posting - I am long on HELX...and, as you all probably know I am long AMAT.
