Is that intended to be some kind of dig? FWIW, I've never held an option position in IBM. My history with IBM is that I bought in the (split adjusted) 20's and sold in the low 100's (too early as it turns out); I continue to watch in amazement as it rises, but I made my money so I can't complain.

As to my opinion of what's going on, I think IBM needs to start growing revenues rather than continuing to boost EPS by buying in shares while accumulating debt. I certainly have the greatest respect for their financial management, and think some of their products (especially their disk drives) are wonderful, but it's been an $80 +/- billion dollar company for long enough. Unless I'm wrong, "increasing sales" doesn't seem to be what's going on.

JMHO, of course.
