E*TRADE and United Airlines Sign Exclusive Marketing Agreement Thursday January 14, 8:25 am Eastern Time Agreement Brings Power of E*TRADE to More Than 25 Million United Airlines Mileage Plus Members PALO ALTO, Calif., Jan. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- E*TRADE Group Inc. (Nasdaq: EGRP - news) and United Airlines today announced an exclusive marketing agreement to enable both E*TRADE customers and United Airlines Mileage Plus members to earn up to 50,000 Mileage Plus miles per year. The agreement represents another facet of E*TRADE's customer acquisition strategy. Under the agreement, more than 25 million United Airlines Mileage Plus members will have several options to earn Mileage Plus miles, including opening a new E*TRADE account and referring new customers to E*TRADE. The promotion is expected to begin in February 1999.
