Hello:
I would strongly suggest that you read a book on options. I recommend "Options for Stock Investor", by James Bittman, Chapters 7 and 8 are about covered writing.
Good Luck.

>I hope someone here can help me. I would like to write covered calls on AMAZON but have no idea how. - Stephanie

Stephanie, I am sure others here have their own suggestions but starting out in "the world of options" by writing CC's on AMZN is about like stepping into the cockpit of an F-15 and trying to learn to fly - it can be VERY dangerous to ones health, real or financial!

I, too, wanted to jump into trading options but after MUCH reading - the first 3000 of so posts on this site is highly recommended - research and soul searching, I have found one, IMOH, undisputable fact - - options in general are reasonable simple, BUT, their uses can be VERY, VERY complex and not something to jump into with limited knowledge.

Just my opinion and worth just what you are paying for it! :)

Hello Stephanie,

Like the other suggested, you need to take defensive action fast,
but, I would suggest to don't try to write CCs on AMZN as your first
attempt please! If you have a profit, sell it and get out! If you are
hard nose about keeping AMZN then you need to short against the box to
lock in all of your profit. That is what the big boys are going to do
right now as the AMZN rush to the exits begins. Down -10 today is
just the start of a major romp. Check out the chart below. $95 is a
possible first bounce with the next major support at $45! $45 is not
out of the question considering that a great deal of profit will
be made by the big MMs shorting AMNZ - TIMBER!.
