>>>could be M&I took over at no cost or was even given cash to take it off Travelers hands.

Could also be that Moneyline was not Y2K ready. I know the reason Corestates sold out to First Union was that they were not going to be Y2K ready in time.

>>>M&I does not offer that service yet. But Mr. Hamm said he believes the company will have no trouble building a presentment service in time to meet increased demand.

"By the time our customers are ready, M&I will be ready," he said.<<<

"No trouble building a presentment..." Are they kidding! More than two years for CKFR and TP to get this far, so tomorrow they'll build Rome in a day. As for their customer's being ready, by the time their ready the customer will be gone.

That's all the more reason for CheckFree Current Banks to get behind CheckFree on this launch....they can grab all those other peckerwoods clients, at least the cream. By being a 'state of the art' bank.

The Portal relationships...if CheckFree ever gets them could be used to drive those M&I Bank customers to CheckFree Hosted Banks Sites for Service....just a thought.
