Good morning thread. FYI: Unisys Corp. posted better than expected fourth-quarter earnings due to cost cutting AND strong sales performance by the computer company's high-end hardware and services business. Revenue in the company's Information Services unit showed double-digit growth. Unisys said its services backlog at the end of the quarter was $3.4 billion, compared with $2.9 billion at the end of 1997. The $3.4 billion figure is "very conservative." See article in WSJ p. B3. Now I'm no computer services expert, but the last time I checked, CPQ was not just a box maker anymore. Thoughts?
