Current Status: All Stockwatch Systems Go
Thu Jan 14 6:00 am WE ARE NOT RECEIVING QUOTES on our DowJones feed
this morning! They are looking into it!

This affects all web page quotes. You can receive Canadian quotes in the new tickers,
which use a different Canadian feed!
Delayed Data Our quote vendor, Dow Jones, has become overloaded since the
introduction of the Euro currency at the beginning of January. Apparently the increased
volume of trading in equities and options has overwhelmed their ticker plant. We are
observing delays in our realtime feed of up to several minutes.

Unfortunately there is nothing we can do about this.

Now, Dow Jones was recently bought by Bridge, so we are in the process of making a
switch to the Bridge quote feed, which is higher quality and does not suffer from this
problem.

Adapting our software to this feed has become our highest priority, and we'll work on it
round the clock until it is complete. Watch this space for updates.

NOTE: This does not affect market depth quotes which are always current. Also our old
CCDF Canadian feed does not suffer delays. FOR ACCURATE REALTIME
CANADIAN QUOTES please read the notes on the ticker launch page.

Re Greenline

I think the real problem is that they have internal communication links to their mainframes, rather than having a completely stand-alone realtime system for trading.

I also do not understand why they don't put graphs, etc on separate servers with a different link. But then again, I don't understand why they can't remove the graphic icons from order entry either.

They should write a book 'bad web site design for dummies'.
