marino is an excellent qb, and to win a superbowl you need an experienced qb. put marino on the jets, falcons, broncs or vikings, and he would be headed for a superbowl. each of the playoff teams have a supporting cast of offensive weapons, and good or great offensive lines.

jimmy knows to win you need an older qb. the young guns make to many mistakes and can not read the d's. marino is about all miami has on offense, but no qb can carry the team.

IMO, Jimmy has done a great job with personel. I don't think people realize what a bad situation he had walked into, because it seemed like a good team on the surface. However, many of the good players were old, and the salary cap situation was horrible. He has loaded that team with good young players. He has had some bad injuries (Stanley Pritchett, Yatil Green, the S whose name I forget). The Fins are solid, but very, very close to being great. Drafting Moss might have been the final piece. Yes, JJ drafted Karim and Avery too high, but I defy anyone here to show me a team that has drafted better than the Dolphins.
