HCOM announces internet banking deal with credit unions:

ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Jan. 14, 1999--HomeCom Communications, Inc. (NASDAQ SmallCap: HCOM), a provider of Internet software solutions for the financial industry, announced today that a letter of intent has been signed with Total/1 to build an exclusive real-time version of HomeCom's Personal Internet Banker((PIB) for Total/1's customers. HomeCom will provide a customized version of Personal Internet Banker as well as development and hosting services. Total/1 will make HomeCom's Personal Internet Banker available to the 48 credit unions that utilize its data processing services. Development has begun, and is expected to be completed by mid-March, with deployment for the individual credit unions to begin early in the second quarter.

We wanted a product which was fully Microsoft OFX compliant and would integrate seamlessly with our open system architecture.
