LA JOLLA, CALIF. (Jan. 14) BW HEALTHWIRE -Jan. 14, 1999--La Jolla
Diagnostics Inc. (OTC BB:LAJD), announced today that its subsidiary
DiagnosTech Inc. has received confirmation that clinical trials on the
company's rapid diagnostic TB test have been successfully completed at
Beijing Children's Hospital.

This proprietary, patent pending rapid diagnostic test for active
tuberculosis is a unique breakthrough product for a disease which is a
major problem in many countries. The accuracy of this TB test has been
confirmed in three separate clinical trials, and it is currently being
sold in several countries with approvals pending in numerous others.
Presently there is no other test available that can rapidly determine
if the disease is an active state.

DiagnosTech's Hong Kong based distributor, Winnimax, plans to submit a
formal registration application for the product to the Chinese Ministry
of Health this coming March.

The World Health Organization (WHO) projects that a total of 1 billion
TB tests will be performed annually by the year 2000. Approximately 25
percent of active TB cases occur in China.

La Jolla Diagnostics is an emerging company engaged in the development
and marketing of state-of-the-art diagnostic tests, health care
products and nutraceuticals. The health care and nutraceuticals
products, including a treatment for migraine headaches, are formulated

Ground floor (and timely) internet play: SDMT (shell co.) will complete a reverse merger
with IBN, International Net Broadcasting "very shortly", according to SDMT's IR. IBN
runs internet content web sites.

Present market cap, based on 8.5 million shares X $2 5/8 closing price yesterday = $22.5
million. Approximately 1.5 million in float. I am told that most of the shares will actually be
held by insiders, with some of this restricted for one year.

Stock is starting its move today.

IBN's Entertainment Boulevard web site has big name advertisers, link to AMZN, etc.
Vidnet offers music videos for viewing, and is highly-rated in the industry for technical
quality.

Screen clips offers movie clips.

Pro Sports Net is a sports site with Tim McCarver interviews and other sports content.

See their web sites at:

Merger to be executed possibly this Fri. From a discussion I just had with PR (at
888-649-5622, took me forever to get thru, lots of busy signals), I asked if the reverse
merger was still on. He replied "It is very much on". I asked if it will completed soon, he
said "very soon". I asked "Friday soon", he replied "very, very soon".

The sites got more than 10 million hits in November. December hits were reported to be
well over 20 million hits.
From March to October, unique visits popped from 50,000 to 500,000.
