OT Jimmy stays as Dolphins coach ESPN.com news services DAVIE, Fla. -- Jimmy Johnson has agreed to stay as head coach of the Miami Dolphins, ESPN's Hank Goldberg reported Thursday morning. Dave Wannstedt will be named assistant head coach of the Dolphins, Goldberg said. ESPN's Chris Mortensen reported Wednesday night that Johnson has resigned as Dolphins coach, but would meet with team officials Thursday morning in case he had a change of heart overnight. Johnson made his decision to stay after meeting with Dolphins owner Wayne Huizenga, quarterback Dan Marino and others at team headquarters.
