The falling knife!?

The fact that AMD gapped down well below its 50-DMA ($26 3/4) and has been trading around its 200-DMA ($23 1/2) with heavy volume is very troublesome, at least for a short term period of time.

Basically, the TA side of the story is just as weak as the FA side. If the AMD closed below 200-DMA or 23 1/2 this week, the next meaningful suppoert is in $17 area.

So for those AMD buyers, maybe it's a good idea to wait till the volume dry up in a few days. The better idea: don't but AMD at all.
