Sean,

Looks to me like you played ATEC just right and are now out of it with a profit. There is a question as to taking your profit at the point of the measured move and cutting yourself out of any additional move.

"Many times it will hit the measured move and then not do much or go back down and take a small bounce off the new support."

If that is your experience, then you did what you know and have confidence in--the best way to trade. I think stops are only to be moved in the direction of the trade. If you move them the other way you are defeating their purpose(I am not just sure what you were saying in your post).

I closed out most of my positions yesterday and today and will look to go short as it looks like a market reversal to me. Maybe I'll be wrong again
