I can't wait for my ADSL. Bell Atlantic, using WSTL, will is currently providing service at up to 7.5 Megabits per second on the downstream (which is what is really important to most people), and which is 5 times faster than a dedicated T1 connection, and much better than most cable modems, and up to 640 kilobits/second on the upstream.

It is not available in my location, yet, but it should be in the next couple of months. Then, I THROW OUT MY JUNKY X2, 28.8, V.90, and KFLEX modems and put my whole in-home ethernet on dedicated ADSL. (ADSL is, like cable modems, a dedicated connection, so you don't have to dial up and wait for the modem to connect, or for the busy signals to go away, etc.)

Good trading,
Ed
