I just saw an announcement of a new VPN strategy by 3COM. It
doesn't make use of CSI at all. Doesn't even mention CSI. I
think there are no real CSI partners, and that makes it much
less significant a product.

Could you post what you saw? I'm a bit confused on what you're saying.

Bruce, CSI as well ae MPLS has to be first approved as a standard.
This dose not preclude vendors to designed they product the way to be copmatibile if CSI will become standard.At this point you do not need to read about it
