I'm a fan of VCR, but the problem is the statement in the recent news release where Hackett states that, due to investments in R&D, their streak of year-over-year earnings increases will end this quarter (3rd qtr ending 12/31/98), and won't pick up again until the 2nd half of next fiscal year (which would again mean until the 3rd quarter ending 12/31/99). That's a long time to wait for earnings growth. That's why it's down today and may stay depressed for a while. Still, you've got to love their products. Somebody ought to buy them while the price is right. Gator
