Beats me, Harvey. I stick with the printed word myself, or its virtual equivalent. Has the adulterous papal knight gotten through his reading of the "corruptly this, corruptly that" articles yet? "The President has corruptly failed to cooperate with the Starr Inquisition. " No one expects the Starr Inquisition!

No, Dozing Is Not Impeachable nytimes.com

Harvey, your perception was apparently not unique.

The tedium of the trial Thursday has more to do with the familiarity of the arguments than with the way television is capturing it. Oddly enough, without the talking heads' commentary, the experience of watching on television was drastically duller than watching it in person would have been. At least senators could crane their necks and observe their colleagues' responses, which was more than we could do. With the camera focused on the speakers, viewers could only wonder. Were the senators fidgeting? Taking notes? Drowsing?

Maybe they need to hire on Rev. Pilch to spice things up. "Those Democrats are all a bunch of sodomite whores!"
