Well, I should have sold at the beginning of the week, too, but I didn't break any rules by holding onto AMD through earnings. With its recent successes I (foolishly) thought that "surely AMD will make it to 50 - 55". Ha.
But I wonder if AMD might not be so reliably cyclical (hitting 12 in the Fall, then rising to 31 - 32 last week), that it might not be a good idea to buy on the dips and sell on the doublings. Double your money every 6 - 12 months. Do you think we can at least depend on AMD for that much...
Or would that be true speculation?
