You don't get it. Cisco is helping other companies (such as the Bells and Long Distance Carriers) grow their markets precisely because when those markets grow, the demand for Cisco products increases. Your comments show how little you understand the interdependencies of the successful technology firms of today. Cisco is widely known to be a company eager to partner with others and eager to establish standards so that tech industries can prosper, so that in the end Cisco's products will prosper. It's called long term thinking. You should try it some time.
