Hi Urlman. You can certainly "tm" or "sm" "Goto" or "Go2".

Intel was denied a tm on the "number" 586. It received one for the revised designation, "i586". INTC elected to use "Pentium" for marketing purposes when it was clear that a suddenly and vastly broader marketplace needed a buzzword. As part of that effort, INTC created the legendary "Intel Inside" campaign.

Problem with initiating or defending a tm or sm registration for the simple term, "Goto" (or related variants) is that it can be challenged under claims of prior or allowable use. GNET's position must be that the DIS use is an infringement based on similarity and confusion with its existing marks.

GNET has a big investment here and it must be defended. These marks are probably worth upwards of $50 a share! DIS cannot be allowed to trade on *any* use of the word "Go" in the Internet space. (That's "driving without a license.") We *own* it.

If I don't get feedback from the group on the intellectual property issue, I'll pursue it with GNET management on our behalf. This 'mouse' ain't gettin' away!

Enjoy your site, Url. See the link all over the place. Suggest you proliferate it with some engaging copy so it doesn't come off as spam. You can be a class act, so take the high road. Good luck, and keep in touch.
