Roderick, the lower bollinger for the dow is 8750. I would expect a move to at least that level. Brazil is just the current excuse to correct. No run on gold because there is no panic. And some people believe markets are random, ha.

Roderick,

If this government's reporting ever has anything to say about it, Inflation will never be reported again.

Roderick - actually I've changed my mind after watching the S&Ps trading this PM while the impeachment trial is on. My interpretation of the presentations so far, and I have listened to them all is that the market will possibly fall another 200 points tomorrow as buyers stand aside in concern of another shoe to drop. If no other shoes drop, I predict a possible outcome by the end on Saturday, that a group of Republican Senators will get together on Sunday and agree to a motion to intercede before Ruff's presentation and move to have the case dismissed!

Thereupon, the Dow will roar back to about 9771+/- 10 points by noon on Monday. Clinton will give his State of the Union address on Tues as scheduled, and we will then get down to the real business of the people of the world and their needs, and everyone will be so thankfull to not ever hear anything more about who said what or who did what to whom when. And the Republican will scream blue murder until they under stand that noone is listening to them.

I sure think I'll be considering buy stops on a few things Monday morning.

I don't know, I find some real values in the S&P - but not many.
IMHO some of the worst value problems are not in the S&P. History showed gold shined in both heavy deflation & inflation. Who know this time.
