You people tire me. It isn't about color. It's about alot of various things.
AAPL is more than a box maker, unlike DELL.
In addition, AAPL recognizes that fashion is important in a purchase decision. The iMac proved that pretty solidly. So, as unimportant as color is...it's not totally unimportant.
AAPL is set to make some purchases to solidify its growth.
It has continued to grow its share from a pitiful 3% to 5% (I still think it's higher, and some sources have said from 7-10%).
If you want to beat it down, beat it down.
AAPL has fallen before at times in the last year - and it still comes back.

I've said it to others before. Apple has, with the iMac, apparently shifted its focus to the appliance mode ( pump those iMac puppies through the channel and see what happens).

As a power user with circa 1984 loyalty, I've seen the subtle shift. It was slightly interrupted when the clones started competing with Jobs. It stopped when Stevo saw market share go down the tubes. In the process of deconstructing the market for macs clones, I think the man saw a short term opportunity with the bubble gum machines (iMac) to the detriment of the rest of us. I think the Street sees what's going on and IMHO it's going to take one hell of a lot more good news than Apple has to spread.

>>>If this is a buy op ?? What pray tell is the reason to make it go up ?<<<

AAPL sold a lot of Macs in Q1. AAPL will continue to sell a lot of Macs. They've cleaned out the cobwebs. They're lean and mean. They know the markets they're after. They're going to win them back.
