Still holding DBCC...underwriters change mind AGAIN! Will not price MKTW stock until just before tomorrow's open. I have a feeling this bodes well for DBCC....at least in the morning. Anyone for selling at say...45?

Interesting reading here. I've been in and out of DBCC for the past week or so, long from 17 into the 30s, and short since.

Anyone who is long who does not see this as a momentum trade, in my opinion, will be disillusioned. The IPO brings value to DBCC, but I think a case has been made that it may not be near the current value.

I make a lot of mistakes, but I still think that while DBCC may rise from the IPO because of momentum, there will be a very big downside in the short term, as investors and traders who are long hit their targets. The market needs buyers and sellers. When the buyers dry up the stock will tank because there will be continued selling pressure from profit taking and opportunistic short selling. When the momentum is gone, watch out.

In the meantime, I'm sure that anyone who is long has a shot at some profits, but I'd be watching very carefully. It is a shaky market out there in general.

As for me, I see more profit potential in being short than being long. There is going to be a lot more pressure on the selling side from profit taking than there is going to be momentum buying on the long side after MKTW opens and reaches a level.

I don't hold short positions, I just day trade them, as that is my comfort level for trading. But like I've done the last couple of days, I'll look for a peak, and I'll try to go short. Especially if the stock gaps up. You can't buy low when a stock gaps up, just like it is risky to short when a stock gaps down.

Sorry to interrupt the proceedings here, but just thought I'd add my viewpoint to the discussions here.

Good luck to all,

David
