Hey, Fun, I can't understand a lot of what you are talking about, but I don't have an MSEE from MIT. I notice from your post's you are following LU and Ascend mostly, so I will assume that is where your money is. We always get a lot of posts on this thread from tech types who tell us how much better somebody else's equipment is, but Cisco keeps dominating the market. This seems to be because their total package and marketing is better. The anti-Cisco people, (and I am not putting you there), sound a hell of a lot like the anti-Msft people, claiming that Cisco is selling inferior equipment by using brute-force marketing. Your post was mainly about individual pieces of equipment being better, but what do you think of the total marketing concept of Cisco, and the "rule-making" that Cisco is able to do?

Boy, you are good.

I have not visited SI regularly for almost 1.5 year. I did so lately due to the merger between LU and ASND. I found you today and have been seating here reading your inputs for more than 40 Min. I have not seen anybody in SI that have such an inside and accuracy.

Excellent.

Thanks.

These and prior posts discussing the tech outlook sound great, but for a technothing like me I still see the need for data, references, colored charts with numbers and even fractions. If the discussion could be focused on tech w/o the nominations for the software jokebook we'd be much farther along. This thread is technologically handicapped compared to INTC, AMD, QCOM and a few others which feature tech stars. Mr. Fun, I think has a whole heap to tell. To me, even Jach is a big help when he posts references to the the pop literature (admittedly, his price predictions are usually laughable). We can all learn a hell of a lot that is useful if the tech guys concentrate on tech, and the business types concentrate on dollars and cents. There's no need to quarrel or insult each other. We can help each other make better investment decisions if we stick to what we know, and not to what we hope or fear.
