The read on the WTSL thread is that the BA install will be WTSL CAP modems to start maybe switching to DMT-based modems toward end of summer ... after G.lite standard is final ... this would benefit AWRE.

However, AWRE would not see any revenue to speak of off this until probably 90 days after install begins, then reporting it in the 90 days after that ... not likely to hit their balance sheet anytime soon.

How much do they make? Maybe a buck per modem ... outside might be as much as $3 per modem ... say 5M G.lite modems in '99 max ... $5m - $15M royalty revenue? Doesn't look like this price is justified ... they'll eat that much staying open and in the game ... they're working on VDSL.

Hard to short 'em though until the DSL wave is cresting ... they could go to the moon based on analysts' half-truth comments like that!
