Nathan - I am a wanna be day trader...this thread has gone a long way to making me one. I have to admit though, I tend to hold my positions for a day or two...depending on the market of course.

Hi Nathan,
I must admit that I am (primarily) a daytrader. I have a long-term professionally managed portfolio, some personal long-term holds,I sometimes hold for as long as a week, but, in a market as volatile as this, I essentially daytrade.

Nathan: Welcome to the thread. Hope you stick around to contribute.

I think you will find all types here. I myself day trade, position trade and invest for the long haul. I give what the market allows and constantly shift my focus from day trading to position trading. Right now, I would call myself a position trader with day trader tendencies. It is something new that I am doing to tweak my day trading disciplines to see if I can maximize my winning gains while still cutting my losing trades when they reach my downside tolerances.

I think we have something for everyone here and we keep it clean. No hyping, spamming, or insulting posts are tolerated and we stress group success/failure. We are here to help one another.

I strongly urge you to browse the first 200 posts or so to get a feeling and then do a search for "Issue Specialist" to check out that program that we have here. We have a number of programs going on here to get those interested involved, I do not think there is another thread like it anywhere.

Trade well.
