Fernando, very informative posting. A good sign was today's hold in telecom prices. What do you think of TAR (Telefonica de Argentina)?
ciao Alfredo

Fernando, any general thoughts you can share?

Do you know if Itamar made their Eurobond payments? I thought whatever was supposed to happen here was supposed to happen by the 20th, but maybe I have that date confused with payments to the government. This situation with the states is one of my greater concerns at the moment. Seems these guys can drive the country to the brink, or realize the seriousness of the situation and try working together. I don't understand how this guy can have much public support. I don't think I've heard him present any reasonable solutions to the problems over there.

Do you have any idea how watered down the SS reform ended up? Strange apparent change in sentiment late in the afternoon the day of the vote. Nice majority in the end though. Any feel for support on this CPMF vote this week? I've read suggestions that some of these lawmakers may feel they've done enough. Are these folks not feeling the squeeze?

Seems something must be in the works to halt these outflows.

Thanks,

sf
