funkster,

i didn't trade today. just didn't have the hankering. learned some new kewl stuff on my puter though. and i'm looking forward to the trading day tomorrow. won't be a full day (for me), but that's okay. didn't you say something the other day about having the rest of your life to trade? :)

#mbtrading on irc was a good place to be today, off and on. can learn a lot if ya feel like lurking every now and then.

keep having a blast,
mark

Hello All,

Yes, I had a Great Day today!

I did my first trade today, a friend helped me walk thru' it.

What an experience, excitement, sense of personal power. I have always been more comfortable dealing with nature and the hard edge of cause and effect. It is unyielding but honest. Far more preferable than the vagaries of personality, what a clean experience (yea yea I know MMs, collusion, squeezes, and other pitfalls not-withstanding...).

Day-trading is going to be a hell of an experience.

I have an account with MB and compared to Scwab (which seemed like running a sprint in a box) and others I have seen I feel like I have half a chance.

I had a great day today!

mowa

Funk I appreciate the opportunity to read most of your post.

I use Datek for most of my overnight holds. Datek has severe problems with not being able to connect to their servers. I have lost many thousand $ because I could not login or phone in because of busy phone lines meaning I could not sell a position. The worse case was when Navr gapped a while back. Three hours later I got on and liquidated for $14000 less.
From what I have heard in different mirc rooms this week Etrade and others have not been much better.
I have used the Executioner for the last 6 months. I have never had any down time except for reconnects which happen 1 to 5 times a day and take less than 30 sec. each. Mb and the Ex use Townsend - Terra Nova so the problems this week must be MB Trading.
BUT that is the only good thing I can say about the EX. In 6 months I have not received a refund on monthly fees or commission. My trading money may or may not be there each morning. Cancellations and trades get lost(possibly not EX fault) but their response of reboot your pc I'm real busy is not acceptable. Support consist of one pleasant person and the other guy when you can get them.
I own a company that has built thousands of pc's - I am running two pc's on two isp's on two modems on duplicate everything. I don't want to reboot all day for no reason. I WANT honest and knowledgeable service and support.
Knowing that cancelling my service with them may cost me 6 months of refunds I have decided to do just that.
I have heard nothing but good things about MB. I wish I had it 6 months ago. I hope the problem MB is having is because MB is trying to make their system better as with the Southwest backup.
Today MB said they have my paperwork and can simply transfer my acct. I am on my way.
