I have no problems with disagreement. And competition is indeed one AMD's problems, but it would not have been a big problem if there was shortage (prices stay high), but INTC is set to recapture some of the low end being taken now by AMD (about $2 billions annually in CPU business now). AMD is now planning to ship 20 to 25 MM cpu per year, add to that CYRX (NSM), IBM and few minor players you come up with capacity pressures, and thus price pressures. Or as you call it "competition".

Any thoughts on a resistance/bottom tomorrow for RMBS? sorry... would appreciate some rmbs-informed opinions..

After being in AMD thru earnings, I feel for longs.. although if your HONESTLY long it probably is immaterial but still stinks..

AMD really blew it, so I would guess a comeback for them is less likely.. AMDs problem is they are giving away the chips for free essentially.. Revenues up and will be even more so when production bugs are solved but the earnings will still be pressured..

best of luck to all- as usuall...
