Funk, glad life is going great! With all those dead BH6s
lying around. And sound cards on the floor, etc. You must
be way short to be happy! I've lost $$,$$$ in the last
3 days (on the other hand I made $$,$$$ in the 3 days before,
so easy come easy go I guess--still a trifle ahead<GG>).

Anyhow, what became of your dead systems? Why are you laughing?
I could use a little joy, so give! Did you resuscitate your
dead mommas? Did you kick over your supermicro? Did you
roast the paperboy?

Guess you can tell I'm in a fine mood this evening.

funk - your experiences do not speak well for internet e-tailers.

There are some things in favor of the local store.....Quick delivery, in stock = in stock, quick returns, no shipping charge, and no sales tax for me.....Oregon!!

When I build a machine, I buy locally from several stores and am done getting parts in a couple of hours. When a part is bad, I trade it in and get the new one in an hour.

Funk, sorry about the buy.com snafu! I forgot to mention that their in stock notice can occasionally be off (I have found this quite rare, FWIW--once or twice in about 50 orders.)

They did let me just refuse something when it shipped after I cancelled it, and made a note to wave the $25 charge. One of the reasons I like them is that their customer service folks tend to be reasonable about this sort of thing.

I would say it's about time you caught a break! Between errant shipments and bad boards...kudos to you for keeping your sense of humor. :)
