Bob, I'm in the same boat. I think if either on of us hear of anything, we should say something. I even called a couple of others, and both times, as a NEW prospecting customer no less, was put on hold. In one case I was disconnected altogether. The only thing I can say, is that Barron's late last year (They had an issue about getting a home office started) recommended some online traders. But none that I haven't heard complaints on. I think the volume out there is tremendous, and as one person said who I was talking with, they get their commission either way. But that will not work. If I lose money because of computer breakdowns, understaffing, not caring about your customers, disconnections, etc. I'll put my money back in a mutual fund or something. It's hard enough being on the outside looking in, timing buys and sells correctly, without having some brokerage firm handle business improperly. If Blockbuster video knows TITANIC is coming out on video, they make damn sure they have two walls of that movie for it's customers, or else their customers will go somewhere else. Now I know this is a simplistic comparison, but if you want to tout trades for 9.95 or 14.95, at least staff up on operators so that calls can get through. This isn't a movie rental we're talking about, it's thousands of dollars. And I'm not playing with Grandpa's inheritance either. Look for the new issue of ONLINE INVESTOR to come out soon. It is one of the best magazines I have purchased over the past two months. In the back of their last issue, they mentioned a lot of different areas on the WEB, and graded them. If the new one is not out, grab the old one. It's very informative. Mr. Rhino
