Linda, nothing different than what some others have noted here about
AAPLs behavior for previous MacWorld's and earnings reports. We see
an anticipatory rise prior to the event, and a selloff just before
or just after. What is hard if you are an Apple enthusiast (which I
must admit I am) is that you accept that the players are going to
take their profit on the news, even though you and I know there is
even more good news down the road, and the overall slope is up. If
you are going to time a stock, then long-term thinking doesn't apply.
I have also stopped using options for this short-term stuff, and I
am sticking to directly trading the stock long and short on margin.
Options on AAPL were a deal when its historic volatility was low and
the options were priced as such and you could make money on more
recent volatility. Options seem more dear now because the past years
volatility is priced in. JMO

For today, I took a little position, and I have another buy limit
order in at 40. Good luck.
