I spoke with the reporter from Dow Jones that was online looking for info. The angle of her story was about the online brokerages making it possible for US investors to buy foriegn equities online. I don't think this was limited to just canada. My impression was that several online brokerages were moving forward in this direction. Who knows, soom maybe we can play this silly game all day and at nite onlint trade asia then europe. When will one get some sleep????

If this is the case and it proceeds, it could mean the resurrection of canada's lesser known equities markets, VSE, ASE, MSE. these markets have gotten hammered since the last giant bull run of 95-96. This could be just what they needed. Keep an eye, because our neighbors to the north can run a stock like no other. EBAY 1400% in a few months??, canadains can do that in a few days!!!! check out some charts from 1996, it is quite amazing!! Now if they will only let me short without a borrow from the states.
