I agree with your prediction Mariner. I thought the same thing when they mentioned $1.00 this year. Heck, thats a no brainer...I guess we have to assume the analysts will be thinking the same thing...although as you mentioned one has already got it wrong..

Great day yesterday...

BTW...the snow storms continue here in Ontario..Toronto is practically shut down..lets hope the TSE remains open..I'm sure it will stay open ...I heard the TSE were telling their traders to stay downtown overnight in hotels so they could get into work in the morning.....Fri is option expiry day

By the way, I noted from Pat's review of the CC that the company is "comfortable" with FY earnings of $1.00/share. That seems low to me, given we made $.49 in the first 2 Qs. Doesn't seem to allow for the 75% growth rate. I'll standby my prediction of $1.18 for the year and a 3 month price target of $60 as previously posted (assuming the market doesn't jump off a cliff).

The discussion on the 1.00 was one of those where the analyst said something about the .49 for the first 6 mos. and based on that could they assume the co. would make a dollar for the year. It was not a figure initiated by Zita or Josef. Zita answered in a round about way about their being in a pocket of time outside the normal growth rates and that she certainly wouldn't challenge his figure. If he'd calculated a forward figure using the current growth rate, she may have answered the same, it's hard to say.

Based on how many times they talked about continuing in the pocket of time, I think it's clear where the company's headed.

BTW, if anyone knows JDS' average daily volume, could you post? My Yahoo quotes don't list it. TIA
