Maxwell - Re: " Made 400K 400MHz (Hell of a lot more than 1% yield ASSHOK KUMAR predicted) "

400,000/5,500,000 = 7.3%

Kumar wasn't that far off !

Maxwell - Re: "AMD got the customers, AMD got the products, AMD got the volume, and THE MONEY IS COMING! "

Are you Cherry Sanders' SPEECH Writer ?

He started yacking that in April, 1997.

Not much money has "come" in the past 2 years, has it?

I suppose you guys don't get very good pay raises because of this.

I agree AMD got beaten for nothing. The market is ruthless though because of mass psychology. An over reaction on a grand scale for shares in a company that is basically doing quite well. Yes, there was blood on the streets with AMD, senseless blood. Lemmings selling like crazy. Toward the end of day the sell really got frenzied - panic selling. In a day or so this will cool off and AMD will trade higher, no doubt about that. Seen this nonsense many times before.

Maxwell - Re: "Cash increased over $100M"

I just listened to the Conference Call - and DISCOVERED where a lot of that $100,000,000 came from.

AMD SOLD THEIR HEADQUARTERS BUILDING !

They now lease that building !

So the sale price of the building produced a large chunk of that $100 million !

Well - AMD's headquarters doesn't belong to AMD any more - AMD is just a TENANT !

And your building - MegaFlop 25 - is mortgaged to the BOND HOLDERS - holding about $400,000,000 in AMD DEBT!

This financial structure really needs to be investigated further - AMD may be in much deeper money problems than most people realize.

Amen, Maxwell, I bought today too. Anyone who bought when the stock tanked after the October earnings report is richer even after today and yesterday.
