Wishful thinking, but it would be nice. Actually it wouldn't surprise me. As soon as Gore is free to do 10 full years, they just might arrange for a resignation.

He has really put them in a bad position here. I'm getting the impression though that as long as the general body of Dem Senators are willing to take the fall for him and the party, this wont happen.

Its like the teamsters knowing that the political heads of the teamsters are corrupt but supporting them anyway because of the general teamster agenda. It takes outsiders, if they are powerful enough, to correct such problems.
