Cringe - Re: " how much of the sale was going to add to earnings. The response was none. It is going to be spread out over 20 years."

So now YOU ARE NOT PAYING ATTENTION !

I never said it added a penny to earnings !

I said the CASH from the SALE went to AMD's CASH BALANCE - contributing to the $100,000,000 that Maxie was so hot and bothered about.

Re: "After Jerry or the other guy said that, the analyst asked how much of the sale was going to add to earnings. The response was none. It is going to be spread out over 20 years."

Typical sale/leaseback arrangement done for tax purposes--essentially a fiction.

Within '98, AMD actually bought, then sold at a profit of $100M their headquarters building. The were leasing it at the beginning of the year and at the end of the year. Whats the problem?
