Many Netizens are enjoying overclocking their Celeron 300A processors to 450 MHz. Even some web sites I've seen have Celeron overclocking FAQ's, and one even sells a "Wopper Celery Sandwich," which is a double heat-sink sandwich for those who want to try for 500 and above. It's no wonder Sharky Extreme has informally named the Celeron 300A as their mascot CPU. Even now, articles from PC Magazine are showing how Celeron is almost as fast as a Pentium II. If Celeron still has a poor image, it will fade away very quickly. Trust me on this, 3DNow could have been marketed much better. Software support is there, but AMD didn't do a very good job convincing anyone else except the hardcore Quake guy that they need 3DNow. Remember AMD's #1 market segment is still retail, where 3DNow is merely a buzzword, kind of like MMX. Tenchusatsu
