Being an EE means you know technology, it doesn't mean you know how to manage and grow big business or an industry, or even think business strategy. It cracks me up when I hear EEs proclaim their market savvy based on their technical knowledge. Two different worlds, my friend. I'm not saying they're mutually exclusive, but one does not equal the other. Business acumen is a honed skill, as I'm sure technical skills are.

You remind me of some poster awhile back who kept telling everyone that Bay was going to trounce Cisco because of superior technology. He backed it up by saying he was an EE and he knew his stuff. Everyone here kept saying it's the management team, stupid. Now look where Bay is. I guess being an EE didn't help him much.
