Alok: In my humble opinion Compaq is no longer just another PC maker as Sun is no longer just another UNIX workstation manufacturer. Compaq is positioning itself - and in fact it has to a great degree - to compete as a powerful force in internet and in particular in the ecommerce sector. Digital was the first step for them to get them into the server market and to get their foot in the internet world, and in the coming months I believe they will be picking up any profitable ecommerce business entity that they can get their hands on. Of course time will tell. At this time Compaq is my largest holding (after LSI Logic) and I sure hope I am right in my assumption that the stock will at the minimum double by the end of this year - if not sooner.
