Good Points!

I remember my wonder in learning that God had married and impreganted two whores -- sisters. God, pissed out of his mind, let them and the children die.(Ezekial 23, a real kneeslapper). I know guys who take every word literally -- I do myself, and it gives me great pause for the Bible (wee paws are better for station identification). Where are those guys like Emile and Shalom of the ready fingers when we really need scriptural criticism?
The answer on Leviticus is that God needed human help in discovering the cure for leprosy and he was probably setting up a bureaucratic nightmare that would stimulate creative destruction. God is just plain stupid on many medical and scientific matters. J.S. Mill thought the Almighty used humans to help him learn how to run things. I always thought that men were nature's way of discovering what it was up to (or watching itself), as fleas were nature's way of keeping dogs from thinking too much about being a dog (Twain). Funny we don't find deposits of film and cameras, books and printing presses, showing nature (or god's plans) for the future. If I know anything about creative people (made in god's image) it's that they document their plans and discovery in order to win IP disputes later. Whatever else we can say of God, he was a terrible keeper of records. I'd hate to try a patent case for God under a first to invent system like ours.
