Latest scolding by Federal Judge (this time in 'temporary employee' lawsuit)

Ok, more bad press for MSFT. Now, the way I see it is these employees were grownups, and when they went to Microsoft as temporary employees they knew their paychecks came from a temp agency. If they wanted to work as a Microsoft employee, why didn't they just apply for a job at Microsoft? Because Microsoft wouldn't hire them? Then tough, go work somewhere else. If these people are willing to work as temps for years, they need to wake up and smell the coffee, their poor career planning should not entitle them to benefits.

And this is not unique to Microsoft. Ameritech and Motorola, which are just down the street from me has legions of 'temporary' programmers and Info.Tech workers which aren't getting stock options. I think it's pathetic and weak the psychology of people who have to go through the courts to solve their problems (read Netscape,SunMicro in this also.
