The currently available Iridium and soon (hopefully) to be available Globalstar phones are somewhat larger than most currently available handheld cellular phones. You can look at Iridium's and Globalstar's web sites for more specific information. "Regular" cell phones will not access these satellites. Nothing is free. Iridium is charging $3+ per satellite minute. Globalstar will charge significantly less, but nothing like free.
