Cush:

I'll have to defer that one to the Chief or Keith.

I have had this discussion before with Dave. I find no value in House positions whatsoever. Because, in fact, they are not "house psoitions" as we would recognize them. Most people think this means "house account", which of course it does not.
The reason I find no value in them is because of the process of the "normal trade"! I have bought a stock that a brokerage firm that I deal with "dislikes", however it shows as a "house position" as they bought it.
Increasing house positions could be as a result of one client or 1000 clients, it could be as a fund transfer, it could be as a result of a cross...many things enter the equation, all are equally plausable and confusing.

ie. If Yorkton sells off 1,000,000 shares does that mean that they don't believe in BII or that they have negotiated a 1,000,000 share buy with a client who prefers to deal with his own brokerage??
