I know one of BVSN's founders, so I have a clear picture of what they do. I am not as sure about what CNKT does, but it seems to me that they are involved in the "comerce" side of Web-Comerce.

BVSN is more on the "web" side of web comerce. That is, BVSN aims to make the Web Experience a useful one for the web user as well as the commerce provider. The key concept here is "One to One Marketing" which means giving a Personalized Web Experience to a web user, and allowing that positive experience to work in favour of the company that aims to do e-bsuiness with the web user.

*BVSN is geared towards satisfying the needs of a corporate marketing and customer services department.

Connect Inc. on the other hand, has a suite of products that offer an end to end solution for e-business. The idea withConnect Inc's technology is to offer a modular, and therefore expandable, e-business back-end.

*Connect Inc is geared towards satisfying the needs of a corporate IT departments.

Of course, they are still both software companies. But so are MSFT, ORCL, ADBE, etc etc
