this is good new for VLNC too...first it shows that some OEM's are eager to have the new technology...ones it starts nobody wants to be left out...might give some pressure to other OEM's to get their act together and move their technology into the new millenium...and
maybe some VLNC lawyers are already looking into patent infringement???

I spoke to Alan El Shafei about 2 months ago which I reported here. As per the press release of today, he told me that their batteries have about the same level of performance of the current lith-ion batteries presently in use but the advantage was that they were thinner. He waffled on my question of UL approval. In Korea they probably don't need it and I don't think it is that important for cel phones in general, but I suspect Valence could well have UL approval right from the getgo.
