That assumes if anybody really needs or cares about the 1.44
megabyte floppy anymore. Quite honestly I do not think it
will be needed in the near future.

"Imagine if IOM made a Zip drive that was also floppy compatible..." PUH-LEASE, Not Again! That's what killed Imation's drive to begin with. Check the first 20K or so of posts to this thread. Too slow, too complicated, too expensive. No one needs a floppy/megafloppy combo except in laptops and there are a bunch with swappable bays out, which makes this a nonissue. There was a reason for not including a floppy in the iMac, and it wasn't to give Imation something to sell aftermarket. Lest we forget, Iomega had the patents which led to the LS-120, and the company sold them because it clearly wasn't going to go anywhere.

BTW, Imation doesn't depend on the Superdisk for its livelyhood. If it did, it would already be gone, Check out its website. (Do you think that if the HiFD flops, Sony is out of here?)
