I agree, KW. The best investments I ever made had holding periods of over 5 (actually over 10) years. I made a modest investment in MSFT in 1988 -- the cost basis was $55 back then... now $1.87. Buying and holding the right companies for a long period of time makes up for alot of short-term trades (even good ones).
