What in the hell is going on with Cmgi? Down over 60 % from high.

Uhm.... Check your math. It's down 60 points -- or about 38 percent -- from its high.

Lets try to keep the short-term hysteria to a dull roar. Folks, here's the news flash: It's a volatile, high-beta stock in a market that itself is gyrating quite wildly as well. You can't micro-manage a CMGI investment -- you'll go insane with the swings.

Bottom line: we've had an unbelievably positive start to 1999 -- up about 60 post-split points... Some correction, gap-filling, profit-taking (take your pick) is gonna happen...

"Looks a bit overdone to me"

It is not overdone when you consider that the stock was trading at a split adjusted 30, 6 weeks ago [200%]. If that is getting overdone on the sell side, what sort of returns are you expecting?
