Looks like the shorts did it again:

biz.yahoo.com*http:/cbs.marketwatch.com/archive/19990115/news/current/clueless.htx?source=blq/yhoo&dist=yhoo

Seems to me like whenever Vivus starts to show some steam the shorts come out of the wood and manage to disseminate their bs.

IMO very inaccurate for CBS Marketwatch reporter to label Vivus research "obsolete". Since when does a guy who specializes in IPOs and the Internet consider himself qualified to accurately report on the biotechs?

If any of you feel that this article was an inaccurate assessment of the Vivus story feel free to e-mail CBS Market Watch or express your thoughts directly to the author, Darren Chevitz, concerning his remarks on Vivus. You can reach him at:

mailto:dchervitz@marketwatch.com

Tell him how you really feel.

It just never fails. Whenever Vivus starts to look like it is on a little roll the shorts get something out that is perceived as negative but usually is total bs. It's either another Spector and Roseman law suit article or some bs research done on MUSE that usually involves a small population in some obscure study that was not even done using standard criteria or controls.
